Description

Grouping points based on local maxima or minima as well as global maximum and minimum float values.

1 Example

The example file maximizes travelling costs of a shortest path node "from each to each" point to calculate the longest distance of each point along the mesh surface. Optionally, the attribute fill node diffuses the distance field removing insignificant local extremes. After promoting minimum and maximum values forth and back between points and primitives using the attribute promote node a group expression isolates local minima and maxima. Additionally, the attribute sort node provides indices to identify global extrema, ie. the points with the shortest and the longest maximum travelling distance.
